About Us
Groveton Family Medical Clinic
Founded in 2003 by Dick and Fran Gillum, Groveton Family Medical Clinic has been the sole primary healthcare provider in the rural community of Groveton, Texas, for over two decades. Serving a town of approximately 1,150 residents, located 35 miles southwest of Lufkin, Texas, the clinic has become a cornerstone of local healthcare. In 2009, Keith Jones, a Physician Assistant and current owner, took over the certified Rural Health Clinic and brought several enhancements, including the establishment of an onsite moderate complexity laboratory, which he now directs.
Keith Jones is a well-respected and beloved member of the community, known for his humility, empathy, and compassionate care. His medical career was profoundly influenced by his mentor, Dennis Clark, PA-C, who retired in June 2020 after years of collaboration. With over 10,000 patient encounters annually, the clinic is not only a hub for healthcare but also serves as a training site for Physician Assistant (PA) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) students, as well as providing clinical education for Phlebotomy students from Angelina College.
